Monteverde: Verde que te quiero Verde!

Nature lovers find themselves in an ideal place to live unforgettable experiences in Monteverde due to the close contact with an abundant flora and fauna.
Admiring nature in Costa Rica is not difficult because wherever you look, you will find captivating beauties. However, there is a corner that all Costa Ricans and foreigners should know.
A site set in a paradisiacal place like tailor-made by those who admire impressive natural wonders and who have also learned to live in harmony with the environment.
It is known by the name of Monteverde and, although it is true that the greenery of the region dominates, the truth is that the area is a place where people learn not only to observe nature but also to respect and care for it.
Monteverde is home to one of the rarest habitats on Earth, the cloud forest, along with an amazing variety of flora and fauna. The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is unlike other tropical rainforests of Costa Rica, with a constant mist, hence its name. The high humidity at this point, 1,600 meters above sea level, creates fog and provides a dense cloud cover over the area.
Monteverde is a cloud forest, natural sanctuary, friendly and quiet, as gentil and hospitable are the people who inhabit it. These people have developed a comfortable infrastructure so that tourists feel completely integrated with the environment that surrounds them.
Eight different biological zones are distinguished in this environment, rich in humidity, which houses several thousand species of animals and plants through its 26,000 hectares. The reserve is a paradise for bird lovers, with more than 500 species; do not forget your binoculars to see the resplendent quetzal, whose green plumage contrasts very well with its red chest and belly, the blue-throated toucanet and the mystic and sonorous bell bird. Pumas, monkeys and jaguars in danger of extinction live here as well as the red-eyed tree frog that with some luck you will be able to observe. You can also find the golden toad, known to live only in this forest and which is said to be extinct. Along with the abundant fauna, the cloud forest offers 420 species of orchids and 200 species of ferns.
